Privacy Policy for Morse Code
Automatically collected data
The Morse Code application itself does not collect any personal data. However, it uses a third-party library called Microsoft AppCenter.Crashes that is used for the crash reporting. In case that the app crashes or an error occurs, an error report is sent through the Internet using this library. The report contains only non-personal information necessary to fix the error:
- description of the error (error message), and information, which part of the code caused it,
- Android version and the Morse Code app version,
- device manufacturer and model,
- active language and country,
- carrier (network),
- screen size,
- installation ID - this is used by AppCenter to differentiate if multiple crashes happened on the same device or on different ones. AppCenter does not use a permanent identifier. Each time you install the Morse Code app, a new identifier is assigned. If you want to reset this identifier, you can also delete app data for the Morse Code in the Android settings.
- You can find the full technical description of the information transmitted in crash reports in the AppCenter documentation (only chapters "Common data" and "Diagnostics" are relevant; you can ignore the chapters for other AppCenter services as these are not present in this app).
The data in the crash reports will be used solely for purpose of fixing errors. As you can see, no personal data and no sensitive data are transmitted (specifically, the crash reports never contain texts that you are translating in the app, nor other texts entered by you). The crash reports are deleted automatically after 28 days. No other data besides the crash reports are collected.

Permissions
The application can use several permissions. Here is the list of the permissions and with the description how are they used:
- Camera – The permission is required in order to access the flashlight for your camera when you choose to transmit Morse code using the flashlight. The permission is used only to control the flashlight. No other data are collected from the camera.
- Vibrations – It is used when you choose to transmit the translated text using the flashlight.
- Internet – Internet is used for crash reporting.
Please feel free to deny any permission for functions that you are not using. The modern Android versions allow you also to revoke the any permission that you have granted before, or grant only a one-time permission.
